What it keeps

Six kinds of record. That is the whole list.

Most apps make you pick from forty categories before you have said anything. Gepeta keeps six, on purpose – between them they hold almost everything an ordinary life produces, and you never have to choose which one you are in. You say what happened and it goes where it belongs.

Things that happened

The meeting, the workout, the appointment, the headache, the bad night of sleep, the place you went. Anything that happened, is happening, or is already in the diary – kept with the time it took, how bad it was, and who was there.

"Ran 5k in the park, felt great, about 28 minutes"

What you ate, drank, and took

Meals, drinks, medication, and supplements. Describe the plate and Gepeta fills in the calories, protein, carbs and fat for you. Say the dose or leave it out – it knows the usual one.

"Chicken salad and a flat white for lunch"

Money moving

What you spent, earned, transferred, refunded, or paid in fees. Each one keeps the amount, the currency, who it went to, how you paid, and whether it counts as a need, a want, or savings.

"Paid cash for parking, 18 dollars"

Numbers you read off something

Weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, resting heart rate, hours slept, steps, stress, energy. The readings that stand on their own, kept in whatever unit you actually said.

"76 kilos this morning"

Things you have taken on

Goals, habits, projects, tasks, reminders, and routines. Something only becomes a commitment once you have actually committed to it – until then it stays a note, so your list never fills up with things you were only thinking about.

"Going to run three times a week from Monday"

Everything worth keeping in words

The journal entry, the idea, the decision, the thing someone told you, the question you are sitting with. Kept whole, with the feeling and the point of it, not flattened into a line of text.

"I travel better with no plan past breakfast"

One sentence can make more than one record. "Thai lunch, about $18" is a meal and eighteen dollars, so it turns up in your food log and in your spending – without you entering it twice.

Your day already has a shape. Gepeta just writes it down.
