What is Gepeta?
A way to write your life down without actually writing it down. Tell it what happened in a sentence (or talk to it, or photograph the receipt) and it keeps a proper record you can find again later.
Is this just another notes app?
No. A notes app keeps your words. Gepeta keeps your words and understands them, so "$18 Thai lunch" is a meal and eighteen dollars at the same time, and turns up in your food log and your monthly spending.
What can it keep track of?
Six kinds of thing: events, food and medication, money, measurements, commitments, and notes. Between them they cover most of what an ordinary life throws at you.
Does it save everything automatically?
Never. It writes up what it thinks you meant and waits. If it got something wrong you fix it or bin it, and nothing is kept until you confirm.
Can it read receipts, PDFs, and spreadsheets?
Yes: photos, PDFs, spreadsheets, and bank exports, up to five at a time. A statement comes back as one record per line rather than a single lump sum.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No, and you could not if you wanted to – there is no bank login. Your spending record is built from what you say, photograph, or export yourself.
Will it fill in calories for me?
Yes. Describe a meal and Gepeta estimates the calories, protein, carbs, and fat from what it knows about the food. Anything you state yourself is kept exactly as you said it.
Can it answer questions about what I have saved?
Not yet, but asking questions of your records is the direction we are building toward. Today you search and browse your own records, and the dashboard totals your spending for you. If you do ask it something about your life, it saves the question as a note so at least you do not lose it.
Can anyone at Gepeta read my records?
No. They are locked on your device with a key we never see. What we store is a scrambled backup we have no way to open.
What if I lose my phone?
Your passkey (the fingerprint or face unlock you already use) brings your records back on a new device. There is no password to forget and nothing you have to download and keep safe.
